CSC SIGNS IT SERVICES CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH GENERAL DYNAMICS WITH POTENTIAL VALUE OF $1.63 BILLION
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 1 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has signed an agreement to extend CSC's information technology (IT) outsourcing contract with General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) for a period of 7.25 years. CSC estimates the value of the extension to be approximately $1.63 billion. This represents an increase of $30 million above CSC's previous estimate when the company announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding on Dec. 23, 2004.
